SUITS OPENING SEQUENCE

THE OPENING SEQUENCE:

The opening sequence of the TV show 'SUITS' to me is very eccentric and I find it to be very creative and amusing. I can tell by the music that this show presents a lot of harmony and averts from any other aspect associated with violence or anything of that nature.

The first scene we see of the sequence is a bird's eye view of a city, with the traffic in fast motion, with the camera framed and fixated looking down at the city. We also see an animation which changes the colour from a blue colour to a red colour.

After this shot we get to see an actor riding a bicycle alongside a tracking shot followed by a close-up shot of the man's face, which shows him smiling. We can also use this scene as evidence to suggest that the show is more geared towards a comedy genre. In my opinion, music portrays a massive role with the mood of a film or other moving image production.

  1. One major aspect is the editing. What is achieved by the slomo and the speeded up sequences?
